Owner Helen Quirke chose the name of the shop as she always felt like a bit of a wildflower, not a cutting flower purposely planted somewhere, uniformly growing, doing as expected, but an accidental seed dropped or blown into a spot growing wildly into something that did not always quite fit with others’ expectations or ideals…paving her own path.
With an absolute love of nature and its many wildflowers (or what some consider weeds), we delight in the benefits these plants can have on our health and wellbeing. Helen spent 10 years working with her sister Dr Sally Moorcroft, helping her establish her off-the-shelf range of Herbal Medicine products, Dr Sally's Botanicals, which are fully stocked in our store. She then branched out on her own and began to study the benefits of essential oils on health; with the help of Sally the Wildflower Aroma Blends were created.
Another passion is writing. We stock Kaweco pens, journals, books, stationery, ceramics, our outside-the-box clothing range embraces the unusual, and our upcycled and curated furniture injects new life in to once-loved items.
